The origin story of the brand name dates back to previous generations of the London family who called Wavertree, England, home. Wavertree is a Ward of the City of Liverpool and combined with our family name London is how the brands name came about. A nod to the past with a keen passion to the future.
The tree that is identifiable on every Wavertree & London product is based upon the Ward of Wavertree’s symbol.
Wavertree and London begun trading in 1994 making potpourri and fragrances for a wide range of retailers across Australia. It was later decided to diversify into manufacturing of plant-based soap bars using the traditional French method of triple milling. They later took all of their discipline, resources and passion and begun manufacturing soy candles and diffusers, using our signature fragrances. All our products are proudly made in house.
Wavertree and London make all of their products right here in Australia for you.
All their soap bars are made using the traditional method of French Triple Milling. Quite simply, this process allows the bar to be completely uniform and smooth, without impurities and is longer lasting than other methods. Passing the soap blend through the mills makes sure the soap bar has fragrance and Shea Butter right through to the very last piece.
Handmade using jars unique to their brand, Wavertree and London candles are made with a lot of attention and care. They have developed specific fragrances just for their candles to achieve the highest possible fragrance throw. Once the wax is melted to its optimum temperature and then blend in the fragrance and pour into the jars. Only making small batches at a time, Wavertree and London are able to ensure quality of our finished product.
Wavertree and London diffusers use a non-alcohol base making it safe for travel and your homes. Using specifically made fragrances for diffusers, this ensures you have a subtle fragrant house without being overbearing or underwhelming.
